Residents of Kampung Lamunin and the surrounding areas will soon have a new mosque, which is expected to be completed by May 2027. A foundation laying ceremony for the new mosque was held at Kampung Lamunin, Tutong District, 5th February morning.

Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development. The new mosque will be able to accommodate approximately one thousand congregants. The mosque construction budget of five million Brunei dollars under the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund.
